We are excited to share that Rise Up’s article “Local leaders have the solutions: Why aren’t we funding them?” was featured in Alliance magazine. The article responds to the growing discourse about localization and philanthropic effectiveness and the stark reality that only 2 percent of funding reaches local leaders.

Written by Rise Up Executive Director Dr. Denise R. Dunning, Rise Up Director of Learning Josie Ramos, and Rise Up Leader Alejandra García Muñiz, the article provides key recommendations on strengthening funding and support for local leaders and their organizations to create lasting, sustainable change.
