Amhi Amchya Arogyasathi
Nasreen is currently working to empower women and girls in the urban resettlement colonies of Nagpur. Her role is to strengthen women’s and girls’ groups, generate awareness about their rights and entitlements, and to help them access government services. She is addressing issues related to sexual and reproductive health, neonatal care, malnutrition, and Muslim women’s issues through networks like Public Health Campaign, Right to Food, Right to Education, and Muslim Women’s Network.
Having experienced discrimination, she understands the nuances of gender-based discrimination and the impact it has on women’s and girls’ lives. Nasreen has received a Leadership Award from the National Foundation of India for her work in community development and social change.
