Nmachukwu Gloria Ihegworo

Nmachukwu Gloria Ihegworo is a girl-child advocate, an avid reader and novice writer. She works as a Program Officer with Centre for Women, Youth and Community Action (NACWYCA), an NGO in Lafia Nasarawa State. One of her roles is to ensure that children, especially the girls of Nasarawa State are educated. She was instrumental in the development and launch of the Nasarawa State Girl-child Education Policy and also ensures that the rights of children are protected through collaborations with several Child Protection Committees in rural communities of Nasarawa State by advocating to community leaders to eradicate harmful gender norms that puts the girl-child at a disadvantage. Her vision is to see a world where women and girls have equal access to opportunities. Nmachukwu Gloria holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Literary Studies from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
