Nsabimana Claude is an advocate and a passionate pro-choice physician in Rwanda. He is working to advance access for girls and women to high-quality sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) services, especially safe abortion, without stigma, judgment and discrimination. He is extending the network of pro-choice physicians in Rwanda through training programs that aim to tackle abortion stigma among young doctors and increase knowledge on both clinical and legal aspects of safe abortion, behaviour change, and values clarification. Claude has a Bachelor’s degree in general medicine and surgery and was the president of the Medical Students Association in Rwanda. He is recognized for his work on successfully advocating for the inclusion of comprehensive SRHR courses in primary and high school curriculum in Rwanda. Claude volunteered and held multiple leadership roles with different youth-led organizations, including as a student leader for the Medical Students For Choice.
