Oluwatumininu Adedeji
Balm in Gilead Foundation for Sustainable Development
Oluwatumininu is the Executive Director of Balm in Gilead Foundation for Sustainable Development (BIGIF), a non-governmental organization working to reduce gender-based violence. She is a young leader and a gender expert with more than six years of experience in capacity development, advocacy, mentoring, and project design and management. Oluwatumininu grew up in an environment where women and girls were marginalized because of poverty, cultural norms, harmful traditional practices, and societal gender stereotypes and as a result she became passionate about social entrepreneurship, gender equity, sexual and reproductive health rights for women and girls, as well as women’s leadership. She has a Master’s degree in Gender and Development studies and is currently pursuing her Doctoral degree in Gender and Development.
