Palvinder is a public health, education, and social justice enthusiast. In 2012 she established the Bhujangan Kaur Leadership Retreat, the first all-girls retreat for the Punjabi community in California. She is passionate about youth development, education, health, and building community power. She is committed to addressing gender, racial, health, and educational equity. Palvinder holds a bachelor’s degree from UCLA, a master’s degree in public health from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center, and is currently pursuing a doctorate in educational leadership at UC Davis. She has been appointed to the Maternal Child Health & Adolescent Advisory Board, and the Adult and Aging Commission in Sacramento, and the Sacramento County Language Access Advisory Committee.
