Perla is a human rights advocate who uses illustration, urban art, and graphic design with an intersectional gender and territorial perspective. She collaborates with Educación y Ciudadanía A. C. (Educiac) and teaches at the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosí (UASLP). She supports participatory initiatives that integrate dignifying narratives through concepts, discourses, illustrations, and graphic expressions. Perla believes in graphic design’s transformative power to tell stories that express needs and community resistance. Her work includes collective murals in the Women’s Justice Center and the Migrant’s House and the installation of the femicide victims’ memorial in San Luis Potosí . Perla’s impact was recognized with an Honorable Mention in the San Luis Potosí State Journalism Award for Caricature or Cover Víctor Monjarás.
