As the Executive Director of CYDT since 2015, Phillip demonstrates significant dedication and commitment to working with youth, especially girls, to improve their situation in their community. With the support of international NGOs, CYDT has implemented a number of projects focusing on improving SRH services for girls. Philip coordinates programs that aim to strengthen community structures such as creating by-laws to protect girls’ rights and reduce child marriage. He is a National Youth Council of Malawi board member, an African Youth Task Force member, and a Thyolo District CSO Network member.
