Rise Up Impacted More Than 25 Million People in 2024 Thanks to our Generous Supporters
We’re thrilled to share Rise Up’s 2024 Annual Report – a powerful celebration of what we’ve accomplished together to advance gender equity and justice around the world.
This year’s report marks a major milestone as we reflect on 15 years of impact and look ahead to Rise Up’s next chapter as an independent nonprofit organization. In 2024 alone, Rise Up’s visionary leaders positively impacted more than 25 million people across the globe through bold advocacy, innovative solutions, and systemic change.
Hear directly from some of the inspiring leaders featured in our report:

Rise Up Leader Poonam Jonwal, who ensured that nearly 10 million girls in India finish school and receive a quality education:
“Rise Up taught me how to identify problems, create a roadmap, build alliances, and achieve measurable results. Because of Rise Up, I am no longer hesitant. I am a leader – and I am strengthening the system for girls.”

Rise Up Leader Fernanda Martins, who helped secure protections against gender-based violence for 13 million women across Brazil:
“Learning new ways to look at and objectively solve problems that affect girls and women was one of the highlights of the Rise Up experience. The methodology, with its clear and well-defined strategies, significantly broadened my understanding of how to actively confront political and social challenges using practical tools.”

Rise Up Leader Franklin Pyokpung Zaure, who equipped nearly 362,000 girls in Nigeria with vital digital literacy skills:
“The transformative support provided by Rise Up, ranging from comprehensive training and strategic guidance to network and financial resources, made it possible for me to craft effective plans and build the confidence to drive meaningful changes in my community.”
Thank you for supporting our work – none of this would be possible without you. This is what it looks like when we invest in local leadership. This is what real change looks like.
