Co-founder / Executive Director, Sunflower Trust

Rukia Sebit is a Peoples Management specialist and a girls’ rights agent. Since co-founding The Sunflower Trust in 2017, she has been deeply immersed in the pursuit of empowering young girls from the informal settlements of Kibera in Nairobi. Rukia envisions seeing girls given equal opportunities to pursue their educational dreams, ultimately enabling them to break the cycle of poverty and discrimination. She has a BBA in Business Administration from Riara University, certifications in Human Resource Management and Project Management, and sits on several boards at community organizations.
