Sangita has 20 years of experience promoting quality education through the development of teaching and learning materials, capacity building of teachers and school management committee members, and networking with governments and non-governmental organizations. She is currently executing a project on quality education in collaboration with the education department.

Sangita is a mother of two daughters and understands the value of educating girls. She is committed to retaining girls in the higher secondary levels of education and also providing support for girls who have dropped out of school. She believes that creating support systems at the village level in collaboration with district and state education departments is integral to tackling the issues of child labor, child marriage, and child exploitation.
