Co-Founder and Director, Ideosync Media Combine

Venu founded Ideosync Media Combine, an internationally renowned communications organization working towards social transformation, through community media training, promoting freedom of expression, and creating spaces for underrepresented voices. She won a national award for her film on female infanticide and received the Ford Foundation Fellowship for Leadership for her work with young people on sexual and reproductive health. In her current work, she is exploring a feminist approach to online spaces, so that women and girls can enjoy equal rights and not face violence or abuse. She has written several papers and manuals on community media in India and currently teaches Radio and Voice Equity at the School of Media and Journalism, Jindal Global University Delhi.
