Vrushali Sawant has vast experience engaging with adolescents through sports. She has been working with the Naz Foundation for the last 10 years and is currently implementing the Young People’s Initiative in Mumbai, a sport-centered development initiative for adolescent girls and young women. Vrushali is a black belt in karate and a certified Netball coach. As an athlete herself, she understands what a powerful tool sports can be in helping adolescent girls and young women develop physical and emotional resilience and build leadership skills. A strong advocate for girls’ rights, Vrushali is passionate about using sports as a medium to shift norms in communities and create agents of change in society.
