Founder of Junior Citizens Southern Africa
Vusi founded Junior Citizens South Africa to build the knowledge and capacity of local communities to actively participate in democratic and governance processes related to gender issues, including empowering victims of human trafficking and advocacy around social determinants of gender inequality such as climate and sustainability. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management. He has worked directly with researchers from academic institutions from South Africa, Canada, France, and the U.S., contributing to research linked to policy change, including the Combating and Prevention of Trafficking in Persons Act 2013. Vusi is currently working on research to understand the impact of climate change on women and youth, while directly working with legislatures to strengthen public participation in legislative processes.
