Willard is a chair member of the District AIDS Coordinating Committee (DACC), the CSO Organization Network in Thyolo, and is the Executive Director of TAYO. In addition to his current positions, he was also the former facilitator of the Go Girls Initiative. The Go Girls Initiative aided girls seeking to leave early marriages and return to school, He is currently a trainer of Go Girls Initiative for Peace Corp Volunteers (PCV) through PCV Malawi Offices. Willard also works to engage local and government leaders to gain support against child marriage in Thyolo.
