Dr. Mogessie is a vibrant and passionate youth health advocate who serves as a volunteer leader for multiple health initiatives. He is currently the Senior Adviser for North and East Africa in Global Health Focus Initiative, which aims to develop critical thinkers and leaders in global health. He is a sexual and reproductive health advocate and project coordinator of a Rex Crossley Award-winning project, Sexual Health Education for Better Awareness (SHEBA). He delivers youth-friendly trainings for multiple youth-led organizations and students in Sudan, Egypt, Rwanda, and Kenya as an essential leadership skills trainer, International Federation of Medical Students Association trainer, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and safe abortion trainer, and global health trainer. His vision is to see empowered youth, not afraid to seek family planning services, becoming critical thinkers and leaders in global health across developing African countries.
